After the holiday in the south ( Kos ) the end of August it should go once again to the north. Jessica wanted once again to Sweden to visit her old friend Dani Gothenburg.
First there were several Plans that they alone going there (by plane on a weekend), but really presented itself as anything. Neither the prices were very attractive, even including the departure places (in the Hunsrück Hahn - I still do not understand, how can the Airport advertise "Frankfurt-Hahn"). Thus, all looked at more like a trip by car, so from the single was again a family vacation!
An appointment was quickly found, leave I got stood still, and so the only question in the space of the route. First, we looked at some ferries, but it is the large sailing (eg Kiel-Gothenburg ) are just outrageously expensive! For the price one can across the face by the Mediterranean Sea ...
was most interesting there is the so-called Vogelfluglinie rather short with 2 ferry, one of Puttgarden (on Fehmarn ) to Rodby in Denmark and then from Helsingør (Denmark) to Helsingborg (SWE).
For this route, there is the ticket Sweden, in which the two ferry services are combined, thereby also the down times are also flexible. For the first section you should choose a (changeable on site) departure time.
This ticket cost in our case returns around 180 €. On the alternative route the two major bridges would be around 120 € Toll charges to the detour with the more driving distance, which then brings hardly any like financial advantage.
Another big advantage on our route are caused by Ferry breaks, so Levi could also every time out of his Maxi Cosi out.
From our cellar we have studied together our unused liquor and liquor stores, this kind are in Scandinavian countries would always welcome and we always had more of it than we will probably drink some day. Linus took the property back at my parents / my sister, who had the Kos vacation works beautifully. So everything was settled
could begin! :-)

We drove at a fairly modest weather going on almost on time and came well (which is indeed on such a distance can never know really). Between Hamburg and Lübeck then tore the sky more and more arrived at the ferry terminal and on Puttgarden even the sun shone from a blue sky. Hello holiday feeling!
aiming for our ferry (12:15 clock), we still missed, but the rebooking was in fact very simple: At the desk we were given a ticket for all other compounds and were placed directly on the next ferry. In the off season seems to be no issue, as each boat has a seat.
and exiting the crossing on the deck (or behind the glass) is truncated to enjoy in any case much more than a holiday atmosphere in the car to drive through the area.
The first crossing was completed after about 45 minutes and on we went about 200km on Danish roads. So far, I'm in Denmark, only the extension of the A7 (Flensburg north) with little risk to low traffic, our present term route saw as very different. Just around Copenhagen we were but more often times and it went further only in stop-and-go. New plays Views of Danish motorways ...
The second ferry was at work then and check-in with our new ticket at one of the machines. It will look into something like leaving a parking garage.
card into the slot, there is a message which ferry loading lane, bound to and onto the ship, ready! Has something of bus travel. The crossing only took about 20-25 minutes, get so little it's worth. But the prospects between the two cities on the Sound but then we drew on deck.
was arriving in Sweden back on the highway for the last approximately 200 km to Gothenburg. Mostly straight through flat Landscapes, partly along the sea. Surprising to me was the fact that it was close to Gothenburg hills are clear. These hills are the predominance of rocks that were ground down by the last ice age round with glaciers. These rocks form the whole area around Gothenburg and separate part of the suburbs from each other.
In the evening we arrived after a traffic jam on the motorway at Dani and finally in Salen Bergsjön , a suburb northeast of the city, on. After the welcome and unpacking our stuff we could end your day. They had worried a child's guest bed, so that we could leave our home. In addition, We could spend the night in the bedroom. :-)
As the evening when we go to bed already noted, it was in the bedroom rather fresh. The heater worked there some way (yet?). Should we not bother her in bed it was still warm.

The next morning was the small but nevertheless Levi cooled right hands were icy cold even ... the arms!
seemed to him even the less disturbing, at least he has been no expressions of anger from him. After the first feeding, we have him then, as always, to put to bed once and "thawed".
On that day there had to each case to be rectified! Thus, it was
after breakfast and immediately become one of the two local IKEA, which was anyway to Jessica's to-do list. The procurement list is thus expanded by a sheepskin and gloves.
The first of IKEA, the second from one of the shopping centers of which there are well enough here. Thus, should the night shivering are also history.
The path to the furniture store went north through the suburb to Gothenburg around Angered, one of the back between large rocks through it comes out high on a bridge over the Göta älv . That too was impressive, because I - as mentioned initially - Gothenburg have been expected in the lowlands.

This Sunday it was finally a bit in the City. Very handy for this is the fact that only about 200m from the apartment directly drives a tram. There are such things as mobile ticket is also a long time ago in Sweden.
We left and visited so of course (!) Once the Nordstan mall and strolled a bit through the corridors. Then it went to a nice café on the way back we made the move yet to stop at a supermarket. What here, just as it did the day before noticed: In Sweden, there more little children! Children everywhere cars are moved around the area, are in every cafe, etc., it naturally child seats and, of course, is everywhere, and liked to take a drink with food warm. Everywhere changing facilities are, of course, in the malls there are not even in a more or less free corner of the (female) toilets, but as a separate room with everything you need there so.
have in Bielefeld IKEA I Levi once looked at the men's room (where there is at least a comfort station!) Supplied, when a man came in me upset and then again on the outside of the sign looked to see if he did not run accidentally on the women's toilet was. Something like this would Sweden probably not feasible. Everywhere young families while their babies and just as naturally, the wound and by the fathers, and so fed
This should also be so for us, but somehow it does not appear. We noticed also the first in Sweden, just because it struck us so. Everything is just more attuned to children. In the shopping malls there are in addition to the well-equipped sanitary facilities everywhere in the main courses, small "game islands" for the little ones, of course (in Sweden, not unlike us) have no desire to run only from a business to the next. Accordingly, the young run riot in these areas, so also there is the mood perfectly. Similarly, we noticed that were seen in the suburbs (which often consist of a ring road with Einfahrstraßen) anywhere on the beginning day-care centers. And just this satellite suburbs are not exactly what one might call upscale residential area! Most of these consist of large blocks of flats, next to CAR-PARKS, a shopping center and the tram link to the city. Well ... and containing nurseries. Thus, bring the kids in the morning the day care center then use the tram or car to drive to work. No wild ride through half the city until you reach the kindergarten (when has he ever gotten a seat). Since we really have
in Germany or much to learn ....

On that day we went first to the second IKEA near (south of Gothenburg) and thereafter in a "neighboring" shopping center in Partille . So more or less the almost usual daily program. ;-)
We strolled through the many shops and looked according to lots of things, was bought great, for the next day it was supposed to go to the largest department store in Scandinavia! Up Partille are there from the apartment just a short drive by car and parking is enough and for free. The highlight of the day was Levi, as I was with him shortly before departure still waiting for Jessica (who was the toilet). The little boy got big eyes and choked twice and shortly after he broke pretty much the whole administered before lunch. This consisted of pureed pasta with a tomato sauce containing corresponding orange-farbend presented itself the result, which spread to nearly a square in front of me.
When Jessica came from the toilet, I called her the same, they will advance with times of toilet paper. Somewhat puzzled, they went further single axle and took a handkerchief from her pocket! Only when she saw the mishap, but she brought toilet paper. ;-)
We wiped the small "lake" as good away as possible and then made our fast times from the dust.
Tuesday, 05/10/2010 should
Today, as I said, go to the largest department store in this subcontinent! The Gekås is located in the small town
Ullared about midway between Ferry DK and Gothenburg, east of Verberg . It's just not a shopping center, but a single department store and less like a big Karstadt, but more like a huge real market. Besides the size and range of virtually all cases (there are shoes and not the food share is much lower) the store is most favorable! Not only for Swedish conditions, also part of ours! To
times to describe something in the dimensions: Before leaving to set in to a cash ... the 65 (!) The shopping carts are numbered and have all the 1000 pieces of a different color on the handle area so that the parts easier to find again. The collection boxes for this basket have about 10m and adjustment depth and are probably about 20m wide.
The whole place is therefore mainly of vast parking lots, on which einfindet always a considerable number of large tour buses. Around the actual department store have all kinds of small, specialized shops established, the well that everything is covered.
We have caught a really good day, often form long before the input queues with shopping cart. This allowed us to immediately come in and it was still just a little bit like the entrance on the first day of SSV (as it still existed). Next in the depths of the shop all the people but has spread somewhat. We sauntered thus separated by Dani & Salen (bought primarily matters of everyday use precisely because they are so much cheaper there) and beat us by going on the baby / children clothing and normal clothing by up to play the Appeal Section. The Einkauswagen became increasingly full and there, on the other end of the store, met We also our hosts again.
We wanted to take a break and decided to go to the cafeteria. This one runs on a treadmill higher along with the car a plane in which a parking area is (!) For the shopping cart. Once this is usually parked it goes one level higher to gastronomy. After we had paused there and Levi fed it went off again into the fray.
electronics, hi-fi stuff and Christmas items (there was Jessica to brake hard then!) Followed, and finally was found in the basement nor the leisure sector. Apart from the obligatory fishing in Sweden there are also horse accessories! So I'm in the real market or purchase at least not been able to discover. ;-)
addition to many Christmas gifts, we also found a small slide and the door frame to be fixed for Hüpfschaukel Levi also a fire basket for our terrace
. The last major problem was then to get all the purchases in the car. It was possible, but there was hardly any air and then each had parts in the car even on your lap or next to him in the foot.
Rien ne va plus , but really!
Just a Winter overall for Levi we have not received. There were masses of it, but exactly in the required size, there was virtually nothing. Strange ...
The departure was then already almost dark, we had really spent about 7 hours in the store!
And I must say: It was really fun! For me too, just because of the shopping day was not just clothes and shoes, as so often .... ;-)
If we are next time in Sweden, it will go safely back to Gekås!

That day I wanted something from Sweden to see .... and not a shopping center, but something
beautiful landscape! North of Gothenburg starting numerous islands that are directly in front of the coast. As it should go! The Tripp should include Tjörn and Orust , once for each island. The approach took about an hour, over a big bridge we went over to Tjörn. We first drove across the island in the Southwest, to Rönnäng. Heading there have always been to see several red cottages that are just as typically Swedish. Once in Rönnäng we stopped at a small bay to the first stop and then drove Wieten to the port of runs where a small ferry to the neighboring island (Chen) Tjörnekalv .
War, of course, cool and windy, so there was not really much los. In summer it is safe as beautiful. We were approached by Levi on his arm, and right from an elderly gentleman, who confirmed to us the same. Levi, it did not really know either, he sat strapped in his Maxi Cosi or he was on his arm in the cold wind. It was soon clear that we can abschminken the visit of the second island, because we would certainly rob the little man the fun because he had no. Equal rights for all! ;-) So it remained at the small round to Tjörn , which was still very nice. At least a bit of Sweden, as I had imagined, although this Småland sure even more suitable would be.
On the way back we went first again in the shopping center in Partille past where we had seen two days before in a shop one winter suit for Levi the purchased but not because the next day we drove to Gekås. There was even now from inexplicable reason no suitable in size, so we were again active and beat on there. After that to a large ICA (a chain of large supermarkets) to bring us something Priviant for the trip and at home. The kleingehäkselten cucumbers (with peppers) and buns for hot dogs belonged to it, as is the lemon pepper, Dani & Salen home had and tasted very good. And finally, could not be missing a tube cheese. On the go suitable.

was our departure day arrived. We ate breakfast and took our things gradually down (the flat is on the 3rd floor!).
Fortunately, the barrier on to the footpath to the blocks, so I could drive the car until at least right outside the front door. This saved several feet before walking to the parking garage. Außredem it rained, the loading was not so enjoyable. At some point we really had everything in the car and were following the passing los. Unfortunately, then said this was bound to. :-( At the next house before was a craftsman who had probably closed. Dani & Salen tried those same trades at another house raise (where at least his car was now). Fortunately, came just at this moment again the nice , past southern gentleman who had a key for this barrier. So we could still about depart on schedule. Our journey took us through steady rain to the first ferry. Here we had this time even wait a bit until the ship arrived. Because of the shortness of the crossing was Jessica, this time in the car, I went with Levi won on the upside short representatives can before the legs and all the little son of man from his seat free.
We went in the rain across Denmark to Rødby the last ferry. There, the continuous rain stopped then finally, what was good, because we had something waiting time and thus had not all the time sitting in the car.
had arrived on Fehmarn we definitely still stop by Calle 's border Shop! Of which we had heard a lot and read that hordes of Danes think of there, mainly to buy Danish article at a cheaper rate. If one is resident in Scandinavia, so you have to pay not even the way deposits so as beer is again clearly cheaper.
And indeed there were really only Danes on the road, the pallets of alcohol from a storage facility granted. After we had viewed it went even further to home. In the evening we arrived exhausted, too.
The next day my parents brought it over to Linus. The poor dog was sent there this time not so good, he had his head up again pretty scratch. Always a sign that something is wrong. :-(
why he was not feeling well, we can only guess today. Maybe it was just too close together with the two holidays and he was deported. Next time we are working on the timing or take it all with the same, perhaps in a beautiful house.
This was certainly not our last trip to Sweden.
