Finally I TomTom Go520T on bike. Did it anyway :-)
all took a little longer time than originally planned. Yes I use now for years been my little TomTom One (V2) for my motorcycle tours. The small part was all I needed so (otherwise I gave it to him yet "taught") and gave me a long time really faithful service done. Right next to one of the first test runs I drove by my old friend Tommy . I had the TomTom be more or less loosely in the map pocket of my tank bag. Thus, the view of the display was of course everything else than ideal.
Tommy saw it and immediately offered to tinker a mounting plate for this map case in which the piece can be good during the trip and stumbles are not always around. He took the measure and a few days later I got a lovingly crafted PVC plate, which has since started the small navigation in countless wonderful trips.
I bastet a power supply into the card slot for even the last remaining border problem (battery life) to solve.
Sometime before around 2 years (?) I shot the TomTom Go520T good and the course should also at some point with a motorcycle tour. However, the Go larger and therefore does not fit into the small bowl of One . At some point there should be a new model and that was .... until recently.
decisive factor then was the desire to navigation messages can also listen to me in the helmet. The small
One Although Bluetooth has to get on board, but only for a cell phone to connect to data services (traffic reports, weather, etc.). A Bluetooth headset can not connect. Even a good old cable connection is possible (without retrofitting the device), since the One only an internal speaker, but has no line-out. Naja is halt the entry level. ;-)
I heard myself also something that spoke to some people, I looked at models and then bought with matching helmet headset and a Bluetooth headset to it. Both individually, of course, there are too clunky earphones with built-in BT to the helmet.
so there was extra flat helmet headset and, as a BT receiver on Jabra BT3030 . Both were parts of it at the most favorable eBay directly from China. That takes time like 3-4 weeks, but you spärt it all properly!
Since the padding of my Marushin RS1 is removed, I could hide the stuff more or less good. On the back of each speaker is double-sided tape so that they were also beginning to freeze quite well at the appropriate places.
Finally, I just had the volume control integrated in the supply line removed because of the one was just unnecessarily clumsy and hard to hide in the helmet and on the other. Thus the right long cable also equal to a suitable length being trimmed. The sufficient soldering experience I had gained during my study-time jobs. ;-)

The "dry test" and also a trial run a few days later went so far as successful. The placement of the helmet but now requires some practice, because the space for the ears no longer are so great. If the helmet is in place but only once so far everything is OK: It's convenient and not suppressed.
Since I had still no cradle for Go had initially sometimes my phone to take the test as Naviteil. The announcements were heard loud and clear, that is just fine so far. However, rubbing / pulling the ears but setting up and Taking off the helmet always something on the speakers that they remain with the times but not so right there, where they are sitting. Although all that remains in the frame, but something ought to be optimization nor necessary. I wanted to draw a thin cloth over the speakers and run this behind the cushions and fix it. I had to get hold of course for now.
was therefore in the meantime the Navischale for my Go . The required PVC plate I had for ages in the cellar lie, otherwise I needed eigentich only a sharp knife (cutter) and a hot glue gun. I took the template (the old model of One what had been so wonderful), took the measure and put let's go.
The whole thing lasted no more than an hour and the new shell was finished, tailored for the Go and my SmartPhone .
was hardly the stuff ready, the weather was not really suitable for touring, but anyway.
Finally came a lack of cover. As we once again went to the local IKEA, I found a fairly thin,
transparent material, leaving me about a 30cm wide strip cut from the roll (around 0.80 €). At the helm, I replaced the pads and put these strips from side to side, cut off roughly, fastened the material as desired and fixed it by the snaps of the helmet padding. After that cut clean on all levels and already was the final step done.
Still it is somewhat tricky to dress, but at least sit the little speaker now somewhat protected in the helmet. A colleague has a similar headset inwischen ordered, which he attached to the side of the Kinnriehmens. I could do with my headset also, I might even publish those complex constructions accordingly. Do I even watch the daily detail. In any case, is still an alternative and implemented quickly.
In the future, I look at the way in any case can whisper in your ear. :-)
