Dora Explorer Backpack Pattern

Tankbag tuning

As mentioned recently, I have done for you soon (naja!) Sardinia upcoming tour a new tank bag. For these were now some small modifications to make the really meets my needs: This includes the supply of electrical equipment for the road.
I am going now for some years been mostly with navigation. The internal battery of my old TomTom's managed quite well even a (not too long) day trip, but for a holiday is of course not enough.

Initially, I therefore once placed a "classic" cigarette lighter socket under the seat, which turned out to be permanent but rather as impractical. Was on holiday with luggage lashed to the seat but the accessibility was limited. As soon needed a different solution. So his
the socket finally front on the inside of the left fork tube. There she is to achieve practical and fast, but not as a jump directly in the face like a handlebar or months at the cockpit area and is also still surprisingly well protected from rain and other splashes.
In my old tank bag I had then quickly be a distribution outlet that supplied next to the Navi a cell phone charger and my small video camera with power. This worked fine so far, however, was rather "messy". With the new bag I wanted but a little more structure.

First, I had the new tank bag with the necessary openings provided for the cable glands. Straight from the interior to the front pocket of a large hole is needed, as the connector of the Power Distribution match must pass. The connection from the Haupers-card slot in the lid can however be much smaller because of fit here, currently only 2 mini-USB ports must.
is not hard and do all this with a sharp craft knife quickly and neatly. Some care was exercised in the amount of stabilization, this is on the hero-pack significantly more stable (this was also just a reason to buy!) Than my old model. With too much momentum in the matter can be in there milling can quickly understand large holes, what a shit) looks and b) reduces the stability.
Once that was done I fixed the distributor with two self-adhesive Velcro fasteners. At last, the part should no longer lying around somewhere in the bag. The fixed altitude control makes it possible.

then were added to the connections for GPS, mobile phone and VideoCam.
In the front pocket (with zipper) are the two connectors for power supply and camera to lie. These are just as needed up passed out on the side and then tightened the zip in and it fits. The Navi
port by the way so a (beautiful little) plastic bag Underneath the plug, because the good piece and sometimes individually on the Ténéré is used. So shall plug and can be a little more protected from moisture. So far, the work always quite excellent.

My new tank bag would be equipped for the tour!
